MentScience is an inter-faculty mentoring programme for doctoral candidates in the Center of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology and in the Bielefeld Graduate School for History and Sociology (also financed by the Excellence Initiative-) and in the CoR-Lab Research Institute for Cognition and Robotics. The programme, which starts in Winter term 2009/2010, offers female doctoral candidates mentoring by an experienced researcher or someone in a leadership position outside the university. An extension of the programme to include other faculties is planned.
Two thirds of the doctoral scholarships offered by the Rectorate of Bielefeld University are awarded to female doctoral candidates. More information here.
